2003: I am accepted at the music collage Rytmus, in Stockholm. Known for its good reputation it is here the foundation of my artistry is laid as I get to practice live performance with live musicians both on the school stages and on the local pubs in the city.

2006: At the age of 19 i sign my first songwriters deal at Air Chrysalis Scandinavia (BMG Chrysalis). The same year I move 7 hours from my home in Stockholm to a small city in the northern parts of Sweden called Örnsköldsvik. There I study Music Production, Song Writing, Music law and Business area for 2 years at The Song Writers Academy of Sweden – Musikmakarna.

2010:  I meet the Soul, funk, RnB and Reggae legends BLACKNUSS. The two time Grammy award winning live band are often described as the Swedish answer to the American band THE ROOTS, even though they have been around since the early 90’ies as the first band and DJ’s to introduce the urban music scene in Sweden. After having lead singers like Robyn, Titiyo, Desmond Foster, Swingfly and ADL, (just to name a few), they now take me in as the lead singer of the band, where I am still active till this day.

2012:  I’m invited to Canada for a mini-tour as the opening act for the Senegalese-American international artist, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur, Akon. At the end of this tour I sign a record deal with his label.

2013:  I’m on the Swedish version of the televised music competition ”The Voice” where I make it to the Semi-finals. Short there after I sign a major record deal with Universal Music.

2014: After nearly 11 years of studying the music industry from all different angles I decided to end all my current contracts and start my own record company ”RockAfrick Records”.

The 25th May 2018 I’m finally releasing my debut Album BLACK GRACE on RockAfrick Records. It will be celebrated through a big FREE concert on Wednesday the 23th May at Scala Teatern in Stockholm, Sweden.

I hope to see you there. With Love,

Mary N’diaye
